The Ethiopian athletics delegation that participated in the 20th edition of World Athletics Indoor Championships held in Nanjing, China arrived in Addis Ababa this morning.
The members of the delegation were given a hero’s welcome when they arrived at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, according to the Ethiopian Athletics Federation.
The delegation was welcomed by the Minister of State at the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Mr. Mekiyu Mohamed, the President of the Ethiopian Olympic Committee, Ashebir Woldegiorgis, the President of the Ethiopian Athletics Federation, Selshi Sehn and other dignitaries.
It is known that Ethiopia collected 2 gold and 3 silver medals in the championship and finished 3rd in the world and 1st in Africa.
