A picture tells a thousand words; and sometimes a thousand lies . The kids look like they are playing with the cameraman and there is no real evidence they are being terrorized. Desperate times must lead to desperate measures.

This is so abhorrent to mistreat and sub humanly abuse kids like this. If the arrogant cave men Woyane Federal Police are torturing kids in public what is happening to kids out of the public eyes in the hand of this torturers? It must be a living hell.

Those who stand for being abused, sub humanly treated and terrorized as a culture and tradition need to seek physiological therapy. It is an unacceptable that should be banned tradition.

If you are terrorizing your own kids like this some one should report you to a police. You belong in jail and face charges. You must have been so abused growing up you couldn’t differentiate normal from so abhorrent and it is likely that you will torture you own kids.

Looking at the picture, seems it is in Bole Medhanlialem/Edna mall area. This area is notorious for stealing head lights, car stereos etc. I am not saying the kids on the picture are doing it, but I do not think this worth a news. Just because you are opponent, everything should not be politicized

Please, don’t tell us this is a common way of punishing kids in our country. We are from the same county too. Does the police do this? Have you seen this before? And some of you are suggesting they are street boys. How can you tell? Because of the clothes they are wearing? It looks like to me they are kids from poor families or kids with one parent or no parents.

Any form of abuse is not a JOKE! No excuse in the world makes it right to abuse people and there is nothing important than the future of our young Ethiopians. Some of you morons don’t care if Ethiopians are mistreated, denied basic human-rights, tortured, evicted from their land, locked up, massacred or starve to death; as long as, you see highways and highrise buildings in Addis Ababa, that are owned and operated by foreign landowners, Al Moudi and the rest of the million dollar buildings and villas are built with stolen money and are owned and operated by the late brutal dictator Meles , his wife Jezebel, and his brainwashed criminal TPLF mafia.
May the merciful and loving God/Allah find a way to teach Woyanes and their families what it means to live without basic human rights, living in fear, robbed, evicted, hungry, tortured, and loved ones thrown in jail and slaughtered.

The cowardly act of the strong is staggering in the world today. While putting the issue of religion fundamentalism aside, in reality, the rich world know that they can control the weak countries such as in Africa but not face China or Russia. Back then wars were fought with equals. Again the economic debacle in the world gets blamed on minorities and immigrants and hispanics rather than going after the real perpetrators. Today, TPLF is showing its muscle on weak, hungry and lonely children on the street for fear of riot. The world has gone cowardly. Will you put a weak wrestler of 40lbs with 200lbs of wrestler in a ring? No. There a reason for that because when you actually challenge your equals, you become stronger.

I remember pre TPLF era there were no street kids, very rarely, what we used call street kids which were rare were some guys outiside hanging around and at the end of the day they go back to their home and family. Today, they have no family, they live on street eating garbage. Add to that the punishment they get from police. Never happened like this before.
