I hope I am not rushing to judgment, but President Haile Mariam speech looks edited and crafted by TPLF juntas. The speech should include the following, but not limited to:
1.	Addressing the situation regarding political prisoners

3.	Full freedom of speech for media
4.	Giving Ethiopians land ownership

PLEASE brothers and sisters staging a protest rally against a PM has not even in his position a week will not serve it's purpose.

One rally, protest, or demonstrate to achieve it's objective. Your intentions are good and I commend you for that. however, the timing is off.

You can achieve your objective with a welcome gathering and showing your support, then one of you guys handed to the PM aid your request.
Think outside the box.

Elias I hope you remain right, nevertheless I am affraid you might be wrong. Because it is not an indication of TPLF's weakness for Halemariam's taking the prime minster's place rather TPLF is being smart to transfer slowly the concentrated power from the late Meles to TPLF the organization itself slowly. Then claim the prime minister's place later when they are united in their perception with in themselves and about the role of TPLF on the Ethiopian political future. TPLF to do that it needs time and united energy among TPLF hard core members the hard core can not afford internal and ixternal fight at the same time. Because they were not allowed by Meles to have a meaningful power they did not have known women or men power breakers among themselves. Therefore instead of facing at the same time with scattered and disunited force with their financial donor wich is the west and few home grown hopeful but toothless opposition groups, right now it will be wise if TPLF claims the prime minster leadership and other loses later. TPLF knows well now the new so called prime minister would not go anywhere because he is also confused just like the TPLF hard core members niether side the TPLF hard core nor the new so called prime minister Halemariam never expected this historic rare chance to fall on their lap. TPLF will have a better effective result if TPLF challenges for few lost leadership places later than now. For the time being the TPLF main goal must be mainly for hard core members they need a quiet internal work and struggle time among TPLF members. The TPLF hard core members to settle the dust they need this kind of symbolic power lose while they are reconciling their difference among TPLF hard core members through time for sure they will challenge for the prime minister leadership with united and full force later if TPLF hard core thinks the lose of the prime minister hurts the psyche of Tigreans. However until their right time comes they can dictate Halemariam their wish, we need to remember that he has no access to everything he needs in short they will not obey him I do not think they would share him even the most important and latest securities of the country with him despite of his prime minister leadership place. Halemariam is a symbolic prime minister that acts according to TPLF's hard core wish even if we try to give Halemariam the benefit of the doubt, he can not do anything except signing signatures which are decided by TPLF hard core members. Remember you can not clap with one hand even simple things like his own security would be handled by hard core TPLF members he will be a captive. So how do we expect him to liberate us when his own safety is controled by TPLF hard core members who are watching him over his shoulder. So let us stop this foolish and senseless self deception. Do some of us think that Halemariam has a better chance to overthrow TPLF’ from the Ethiopian people back than the 2005 election. Remember the 2005 election was 1000 times better chance to kick TPLF however shameful Meles and TPLF was able to steal even though their were enough people from inside and outside of Ethiopia to watch the fairness of the election, people like Anna Gomez and other witnesses were powerless to stop from stealing TPLF the election result. So let us stop from fooling the people of Ethiopia with false promises.

I fail to understand why we should desist from protesting against the injustice which is taking place in Ethiopia just to give the new pm time. As a matter of fact, our protest should spur him on to do something about it or ask the Ethiopian people for time.

Let us give hailemariam time. It is not a month or two. He needs to be giiven at least 8 years to clean up things of 38 years of mess by TPLF. TPLF old guards will die through time and then only Haile gets upper hand to clean up things. My country fellow, have patience. The only way good for Ethiopia is to wait for the old guards of TPLF to die. Peace will reign in Ethiopia then. Ten years is not long. Peace will come after 10 years - eternal peace!!1
