A new dawn for Ethiopia has come. I strongly believe God will bring Ethiopia and Ethiopian into her awaiting honor and glory. May God give our Prime Minister, His Excellency Hailemariam Desalegn wisdom and great abilities to bring Ethiopians home with trust and confidence. May God use PM to bring healings, restorations and hope to Ethiopia and all Ethiopians. May God bless the PM and bless Ethiopia and Ethiopians,

By his own speech, he will not have real authority. “Group leadership” means the primer is simply the messenger of the group. At least, how he is programmed to do his job. The only one visible change I expect is he will not be a man of toilet mouth with every word he throws stinks.

So, why people makes a parallel with peaceful transfer is amazing. He was just appointed by his own party but in a degraded manner, i.e not as a real primer but as a symbolic an messenger of the group who gives him order from behind.

Ok, let us see how he sets up his new cabinet. I am thus eager who would be his security chief. That would speak volumes.

I don’t know why everyone is saying “peaceful power transition” in my opinion if Meles didn’t die unexpectedly he would have been in power for ever. Now by definition “peacful power transiton” means if there was a contest between two opposing parties or if there was public debate about the issue then that we can call peaceful power transiton. What happened in Ethiopia is somone who was groomed to be a successor to the post (remember he was a deputy pm) and from the same party I don’t call this a peacful power transition.

God Bless Ethiopia, I saw the first Ethiopian prime Minister in Ethiopia since woyane, I don’t know hw HD and Demeke save our country, but I doubt b/s they are surrounded by Woyane/Hyena….. HD, you cannot lead people by others mind, you are unique, be yourself rather than putting yourself in Meles’s box that will be incompatible leads you to failure! If you use your brain you will save our country, I assure you. HD you are better educated than Meles, it is shameful when I hear from you putting this banda-destructive at the top of Kilimanjero. Please avoid hodader expression!!
HD, if you show us change within fifteen days, like releasing political prisoners, etc that will be good starting point, otherwise you are sticking to hodader!!!

I would strongly agree that let us give a chance the new PM. In his long speech , he raised several issues a few to mention corruption, inefficiency and also give high regard for his mentioning in focusing in maths and science, agriculture , fair judicary system, and also raise the issue of the independence of religion affairs. The guy seems to understand the general environment and the needs of the people.Having said that i do want he repeatedly raising the late prime minister , i think now he has to walk in his own shoe. He has a lot of assignment to do, the dire will be focusing in the inflation of the country and source of money either from collection,aid, and some other sources but i am sure he is going to bring a lot of change in the country. It might be miracle , because the changes are inevitable so this PM has the chance to change the inside movement into something positive which reconcile several issues, such as corruption, ethnicity, the formation of fair and transparent judiciary and police system for the benefit of the society at large.

Now he is officially inaugrated i hope he will take decisive measure in strengthening regions so that they will be responsible for the developing the nation instead of working for the politics, I hope he did not raise the late president again in the future , he has gone long time ago. He should start putting his own fingerprint, probably he want to appease those who are strong supporters of TPLF.

Even though Ato Hailemariam sworn to follow the same trend as previous leader, however, he needs encouragement and building ideas from elites outside the country. There is a big social problem such as: jobless, homeless, no pension entitlement for elderly and those young women deployed in sealing “Tela”, etc… all these need to be focused. Poverty is significant factor of Ethiopia. From what I heard among the programs Ato Hailemariam mentioned he didn’t mentioned Social problem.
The second issue: Ethiopia is not shortage of educated manpower to take responsibilities being given to one person as V.P & Minister of Education that would hinder from effective work promotion. Otherwise, it sounds fine and God Bless the people of Ethiopia.

I did not see anything new except he did not insult us like the former guy who insult Ethiopians in his every speech. In the intoductory part of his speech, he wished respect and glory to his former boss for ever,I see that is too much,Almost worshiping a human being. The most important things in his speech, He told us he will fully coutinue what the former guy was doing and this time, it will be group leadership. That is very dissapointing and ugly.It seems no change at all. Anyway, we will wait and see the drama and the game of TPLF.

The video looks fine, but the political content of Haile Mariam’s speech is unexciting. He did not talk about the release of political prisoners. He did not suggest any reform. It is a disappointing speech>
